Photo/Painting Rating

It occurred to me that Meural has a potential opportunity to do some popularity rating of unknown artists/paintings. Once they have a big enough pool of customers to work with, there’s no reason their software couldn’t allow rating and comments.
For example, I could use my smartphone to request a series of on-demand images, let’s say twenty of them. Meural could then show me - simultaneously in my frame and on the phone - a series of images which I would then rate: Yes/No, stars, rating numbers…whatever.  The artwork would be material most, if not all, people had never seen–a chance for aspiring artists to show their work and receive feedback.
Yes, this would be subjective. And yes, we customers might not be considered qualified to actually judge art–that should be left to professionals, rather than us inexperienced peasants. But how would it be much different than a bunch of people sitting around in an office curating work submitted by unknown artists? At least it would give those artists an opportunity to have their work seen, and us a chance to discover artists we’ve never heard of before.
